Sports Massage Therapist & Personal Trainer
Amy is a level 3 Sports Massage Therapist as well as a level 3 Personal Trainer. Amy also has a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Birmingham.
Amy qualified as a sports massage therapist in 2018 and understands the importance of keeping injury free through regular sports massage and mobility, strength and conditioning training. She has attended sports events delivering pre and post-race sports massage treatments and worked in a private clinic treating clients from all backgrounds. She is also a Personal Trainer delivering 1-2-1 exercise sessions and takes strength and conditioning for runners classes.
She has worked in large gyms such as at Virgin Active, where she delivered personal training sessions, lead a running club and took HIIT and core classes.
Amy has always had a passion for sport and is a keen runner, regularly competing in any distance from 5k to 100 miles on road, trails and in the mountains. She represented England at the marathon distance in the age group championships in 2017. She is also the current female course record holder for the Centurion Wendover Woods 50 mile race. Amy has completed 10 road marathons with a personal best of 2 hours 57 mins. She recently changed her focus to ultra trail running and has now completed 6 ultra marathons, finishing in podium position in all of them; with her most recent event being the Centurion Autumn 100 mile race last October, where she won the female race in a time of 18 hours 30 mins.
Amy is currently studying for a level 3 award in adapting exercise for antenatal and postnatal clients.
Amy is registered with the Sports Massage Association and the Register of Exercise Professionals.
