Kate Birks -
Senior Musculoskeletal PhysiotherapistKate graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the The University of Nottingham in 2012.
Kate spent 3 years working in private practice and with multiple rugby teams in the UK. After that Kate moved to Auckland, New Zealand and has been living and working there for the last 7 years. She worked in various private practice clinics as well as proving court side physio to many Netball teams.
Kate specialise in MSK physio- example of conditions I see: sports injuries, OA, overuse/postural related conditions, general mobility, post op rehab, post pardum rehab.
She uses a combination of manual therapy techniques as well as dry needling, acupuncture and individual exercise programmes to help clients’ achieve their goals.
On a personal note- After 7 years of living abroad some people notice a bit of a Kiwi twang! Kate has a 20 month old daughter, who occupies a lot of her time outside of work. Kate love sports and currently attending the gym, completing home workouts and pilates, but have competed in athletics, Cross-fit, football, Masters swimming and netball.
If you have patients who you think would benefit from physio, please feel free to get in touch.
