Virtual Physiotherapy

What is Virtual Physiotherapy?

Virtual physiotherapy offers an alternative way to get support from a physiotherapist without the need for face-to-face visits, through an online programme and exercises you can complete at home.

We began offering virtual Physiotherapy in March 202 in response to the Covid 19 pandemic and since then have developed and improved our skill set in physiotherapy via video link.

Virtual Physiotherapy can be booked from both the Rugby and Coventry Clinic.

What Does Virtual Physiotherapy Involve?

Your expert Physiotherapist will have discussion with you via video link about your pain, symptoms and history. We can then assess your movement and muscle function but asking you to perform certain movements and tasks. We can get lots of information by watching you do this via our video link.

We then can advise you ion the diagnose and give you expert advice on the management of the injury. This will involve discussion and demonstration of a bespoke exercise program.

After your initial call you'll receive a personalised programme of specific exercises designed to relieve your symptoms and restore lost movement via email.

To help you complete these exercises at home we'll share clear videos demonstrating exactly what you need to do. You can access all the details of your programme and your videos online at any time.

You may also receive emails to give you more information and explain in detail other ways to ease your symptoms.

We will then arrange a follow up treatment session to review your exercise program and your progress overall. In this time you can ask any questions you have and we can answer any concerns.

We can also watch you completing your exercise program and demonstrate alternatives or progressions.
