Atif has over 20 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. He has a particular interest in combining advanced diagnostics with evidence-based rehabilitation to deliver precise, effective care.

Holding an MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (MACP-accredited), Atif is a qualified MSK Sonographer and an experienced Injection Therapist, providing ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

Using real-time ultrasound imaging, Atif is able to accurately identify the affected structure and guide injections with precision. This approach improves diagnostic confidence, enhances treatment accuracy, and ensures patients receive the most appropriate intervention as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation programme rather than as a standalone treatment.

His expertise includes ultrasound-guided procedures for the shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, wrist, hand, foot and ankle, including joint injections, tendon sheath injections, bursal injections, soft tissue injections, and ultrasound-guided ganglion cyst aspiration. Every patient undergoes a thorough clinical assessment before treatment to determine whether an injection or aspiration is appropriate and to develop an individualised treatment plan focused on long-term recovery.

Alongside his private practice, Atif spent more than a decade working as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist within NHS musculoskeletal services, managing complex cases, providing advanced clinical assessment, and working closely with orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, and multidisciplinary teams. This extensive experience enables him to confidently determine when an ultrasound-guided procedure is likely to be beneficial and when alternative treatments may provide better outcomes.
