Sam’s first employment in the fitness industry was back in 1999 whilst studying at
Swansea University and playing semi professional rugby for Swansea RFC, gaining a
scholarship to the University of British Colombia to play Varsity rugby and study.
Sam’s journey in the fitness industry has taken him from South Wales to Vancouver,
on to Bahrain, then Ireland and now back to the UK.


A 4 year stint in Bahrain saw Sam training clients and leading the fitness team at a 5
star destination Resort, in a diverse and multi-cultural setting.
Sam’s time in Ireland was spent managing a bespoke Leisure Club at a 5 star Hotel
and Spa resort outside Dublin and then as Studio Manager & Head Coach at a
Strength & Conditioning facility in Wexford with 5 seasons as S & C coach for the
Gaelic football team in Wexford.


Sam brings over 20 years experience in the fitness industry, in international settings,
as a Personal trainer, S & C Coach, BoxFit and Pilates instructor.
As a trainer Sam takes a holistic view to exercise and fitness with a strong emphasis
on maintaining mobility, heart health, age related appropriate strength and both
physical and mental wellness.


With a keen interest in pain management, rehab and injury prevention Sam strongly
believes in educating, advising and empowering people as to the benefits of a regular,
personalised and appropriate exercise programme. Pilates alongside Strength &
Conditioning plays a pivotal role in this.


Sam has trained and guided clients from complete beginners through to social sports
enthusiasts and athletes in many sporting disciplines including golfers, tennis
players, swimmers, runners, rugby, hockey and football players.


Sam’s programming is heavily influenced not just by your fitness goals but by how
your body moves. By identifying movement compensations/areas of tightness and
weakness, Sam incorporates specific exercises and movements into your training
with a direct, beneficial cross over to your everyday life activities.


With a passionate, holistic view to fitness and wellness, Sam believes in providing a
warm, welcoming, training setting, for all levels and abilities and will help you
achieve your goals in a safe, fun and structured environment, personalised to each of
his clients.
