Sulay is a friendly and highly experienced Senior Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist, having graduated from the University of Bradford in 2019. He treats a wide range of conditions, from everyday aches and pains to sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, always focusing on helping people move better and feel confident in their bodies again.
By working at the Leicester Royal Infirmary NHS at the start of his career , this has provided Sulay with a strong background in trauma and orthopaedics where he worked across Accident & Emergency, trama and post-operative wards. This experience means he understands the full recovery journey, from the early stages following fractures to surgery right through to returning to normal life .
Alongside his NHS work, Sulayl also has extensive experience in the private sector, managing both acute and long-standing conditions. This has allowed him to develop a thorough, patient-centred approach, offering high qaulity , hands-on treatment, and rehabilitation plans tailored to individual goals.
As an athlete himself, Sulay understands how frustrating injuries can be. With a background in martial arts, and being a previous bodybuilder, and currently training in Muay Thai, he knows what it takes to train, recover, and return safely. Whether your goal is getting back to work pain-free, keeping up with family life, or returning to sport, Sulay will tailor your rehabilitation to suit you.
Sulay strongly believes in the importance of hands-on physiotherapy, not simply being given a piece of paper with exercises. His treatment combines joint and spinal mobilisation, massage, dry cupping, electro-acupuncture, and guided rehabilitation exercises ,ensuring patients feel supported, treated, and fully involved in their recovery every step of the way.
He has also previously worked as the lead physiotherapist at Elmhurst Ballet School, supporting high-level dancers and gaining valuable experience in managing complex, physically demanding injuries that require precision, control, and careful load management.
Outside of the clinic, Sulay is currently undertaking further training in Men’s Health Physiotherapy, adding another valuable tool to his skill set and allowing him to support an even wider range of patients.
Sulay enjoys travelling and partakes in charitable physiotherapy work in the community and aboard in places such as areas of rural area of South Africa. He values diversity, inclusivity, and understanding people from all backgrounds values that patients often appreciate and feel this is reflected in his care.
